European research and development
Our innovative R&D Team employs around 30 people including Food Technologists, Packaging Technologists, Pilot Plant Technicians and Managers. As our work is highly varied, there’s never a dull moment. We work on a diverse range of projects, taking ideas and concepts from Marketing and Innovation Teams and developing them into finished products.
Involved in everything from trialling new foods in our pilot plant to starting up the first production of a new food in our factories, we’re responsible for selecting the right ingredients and deciding how best to combine, produce and package them. We also provide technical support to the manufacturing plants, working on Supply Chain initiatives such as cost innovation and the commissioning of new processes. Our jobs enable many of us to travel all over the world, working in Kellogg’s facilities and with suppliers.
At the forefront of a highly competitive market, we always encourage innovation. We run an annual international competition for our Food Technologists who get the opportunity to create foods and packaging from their own ideas and compete against each other.
